DOWNLOAD THE BOOKING FORM!

Please note that booking preferences will be honoured on a first come, first serve basis (upon receipt of a completed booking form and payment), and those booking by Friday 6th April will receive an early bird discount of 20% on accommodation only.

We need all bookings and payments in by 31st May.

This year we are bringing Learning with Nature Experiences to the gathering, with activities that inspire children and adults to connect to nature all around us.

We are also looking forward to the inspiring History Alive Workshops and the much in demand Musical and Rhythm get togethers and the super Talent Show!

We will be arranging daily meet ups for new or interested families, to have the opportunity to ask questions about the TUSLA registration process or any other Home Ed matters.

As always, there are options to suit everyone including camping, dormitory or private room accommodation; catering or self-catering.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Guest Speakers

Harriet Pattison will speak at our Gathering this June about her book, Rethinking Learning to Read which I think will be of great interest to lots of you. Harriet has been involved in home education personally and academically for the last 20 years. She has researched and written on many aspects of informal learning and wrote her doctoral thesis on learning to read at home. She is now particularly interested in the philosophy of home education. I’m sure she will have lots of wisdom to impart and we look forward to meeting her.

We are delighted that Robyn Steward will be speaking about autism at the upcoming gathering. Robyn is an autistic woman who speaks to parents and children about what it’s like to live as an autistic person. She will do a talk for parents on the Friday afternoon and one for younger people on the Saturday morning. You can check out her website to learn more: www.robynsteward.com

DISPLAY OF HOME EDUCATION WORK

There will be a display of work completed by home educated children/teenagers at our gathering in June. This includes (but not restricted to) projects, artwork, poetry, crafts, plants, models, pottery, etc. etc. etc. It would be great to have a large vibrant display, so please, start planning now and bring your work with you to the gathering so everyone else can see what you get up to.
